Bio

Mr. Wiley’s experience includes representing plaintiffs and defendants in employment related matters including interpreting and drafting employment contracts, violations of Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Texas Commission of Human Rights Act, and the Texas Worker’s Compensation Act.

Mr. Wiley’s practice also involves a variety of complex commercial and business litigation issues. He assists and advises clients on forming document corporate entities such as limited liability companies, corporations under Sub-Chapter (S) and (C), limited partnerships, tax exempt entities pursuant to 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and joint ventures. He also assists clients in drafting, negotiating and interpreting terms of contracts for division assets, construction and real estate agreements, television advertising bartering agreements, and sports and entertainment marketing and management agreements. As for litigation issues, Mr. Wiley has represented a variety of clients in construction litigation, bad faith breach under the Texas Insurance Code, derivative claims under federal and state securities law, oil and gas litigation, as well as claims against banking institutions for predatory lending.

Finally, Mr. Wiley’s commercial practice extends to bankruptcies for individual and corporate debtors. He consistently obtains favorable results for clients seeking protection under Chapter 7 and 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. He also represents small to mid-size companies in adversary litigation during bankruptcy, and he has significant experience in representing creditors and debtors during post-judgment collection proceedings, including garnishments, turnover actions and post-judgment depositions.
